Pacific Palisades · Fire Rebuild
1642 Chastain Parkway
A contemporary rebuilding of a family residence lost to fire, balancing a calm street presence with light, landscape and open living beyond.
A measured response to rebuilding
The street elevation is composed as a small group of clearly defined volumes rather than one continuous façade. White frames, warm wood and recessed glazing establish depth while maintaining privacy from the street.
Pitched standing-seam metal roofs are integrated into the modern composition facing the neighborhood. Behind this quieter frontage, the residence opens toward an infinity pool, landscape and an accessory dwelling unit.
